Disarm makes the line in the treasure chest minigame move more slowly. Inspect lets the character see the symbols in the treasure chest minigame. Every class gets the Inspect, Disarm, and Bash skills. Treasure chests can be opened by any class. They must find those spells in shops, treasure chests, or monster drops. Mages start with the Nether Magic skill and Adepts start with the Rune Magic skill, but they do not learn those spells by leveling up. Mages will learn arcane magic spells by leveling up.Īdepts will learn celestial magic spells by leveling up.Īll other spells are learned by gaining a class with that magic school and then finding a spell book in a shop, treasure chest, or monster drop. Rogues will learn nether magic spells by leveling up. The first class you choose determines what spells you will learn by leveling up.įighters will learn rune magic spells by leveling up. Your character can have 2 base classes, 2 2nd tier classes, and 1 3rd tier class. Your character can have a total of 5 classes. If you aren't sure where to distribute points, an equality build (putting points into all skills and attributes equally) will work out well enough. You could probably beat the game with only a base character class if you felt like it. You basically cannot build a character wrong to the point they can't beat the game. I have seen a pic of a character over level 300. I am not aware of a level cap in Dungeon Lords. For example, the Valkyrie class gives several skills for weapons and armors. Advanced classes do give additional skills. I don't have a cheat engine so I'm not certain what advanced classes have what skills, but you can pretty quickly determine what base classes have what skills by playing around with the character generator or making and deleting a few characters. You unlock skills by getting new classes.
